My name is Don Snyder, owner and founder of Special Day Moments. After several years of photographing events and weddings for free (family and friends), three years ago I decided to offer my wedding photography as a professional service.
Wedding Photography is a part-time passion. I usually limit my wedding photography to 2 events per month (Saturday or Sunday only). Normally the web site and printed proofs are available within 2 weeks after the wedding date.
My photography style tends to be a mixture of classic and photojournalist. I seek out the natural expressions and happenings of the day. Weddings can also be unique opportunities to gather families. Frequently I will be asked to also focus on the interplay between members of the family. I also take the more traditional posed photographs of the Bride and Groom with friends and family members.
I usually attend the rehearsal. I find that everyone is more at ease with my presence on the Wedding Day after having a prior meeting. It also allows me to anticipate the unfolding of unique events during your wedding. This assists me to capture those moments while minimizing any distraction for those individuals attending the ceremony.
